Bishop Robert J. Taylor accepted the Call of God into the Gospel Ministry in July of 1984 and soon began studies at the Union Baptist Theological and Literary Seminary in New Orleans. On the recommendation of his Pastor and spiritual father, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., he was ordained in June of 1987 under the auspices of the Ideal Missionary Baptist Association of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Bishop Taylor has worked diligently and faithfully in the ministry for a number of years and on June 7, 1995, Bishop Taylor was installed as founding Senior Pastor of Greater North Shore Full Gospel Baptist Church of Slidell, Louisiana. Under the direction and the anointing of the Holy Ghost, over 3,500 souls have walked the aisles of Greater North Shore making a decision for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The advent of the new millennium brought forth another milestone in Bishop Taylor's life and ministry, as he was appointed and installed as District Overseer of the Louisiana Southern Berith District of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.
Soon after that divine appointment, Bishop Taylor was consecrated as Bishop and became the first District Bishop in the history of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.
July of 2006 signaled yet another milestone in Bishop Taylor's Life, as he was elevated to the office of State Bishop of Louisiana of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.
Bishop Taylor is married to Nawal Taylor, who serves closely by his side in ministry and they are proud, yet humble parents of Radwane, Natasha (Derrick), and Ryan (Megan) and the grandparents of Drake, Milania, Ethan, and Ryan Jr.
Bishop Taylor has a heart for people and his desire is to continue to be used of the Lord to usher souls into the Kingdom of God.
